Can anyone tell me where I can find the values vintage? We have two bottles that we are interested in pricing:
(1) 1983 Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley - Spring Lake
(2) 1995 Raymond Reserve Chardonnay NV
Winecommune.com is the auction site's most established wine and the best source for the current market value of wines. Unfortunately, many wines coming to market too infrequently to establish a reliable trend. the only way to know for these wines less often auctioned is to make the auction, and the market will show.
Just because the wine is old, does not value. Also, if you do not keep wine in a continuous temperature-controlled environment, away from light and placed on its side, turning occasionally, you probably have a very nice bottle of vinegar or wine begins to fade.
My sister has several bottles of the early '80s she kept on a rack of wine in his living room, and none of them are still drinking now, much less valuable.
Except that you could just go to a wine merchant of good reputation and wonder if the bottles you have are precious. Another good resource is Wine Enthusiast Magazine.
Assuming that these wines have been properly stored output (50 degrees F, 70% humidity), a collector might pay up to $ 100 for Lakespring. The market for old Lakespring is very, very limited. Drink Raymond.
