Wine Vacations

I live in Kentucky and want to plan a vacation around golf and drink wine. However, I try to be the smallest budget on travel expenses. What is the best place is the Mississippi River? What is the best of both worlds without going through the West Coast??

Pinehurst, North Carolina. The current Prime Minister is expensive, but others are reasonable.

If you need to visit the vineyards, try north of New York. Good golf, too.
