Steps To Stop Drinking

Steps To Stop DrinkingHelp dependence on alcohol - Alcohol use within 60 days of arrest

Alcohol addiction is a term with multiple and sometimes conflicting definitions. Although ingestion of alcohol is necessary to develop alcoholism, alcohol consumption does not necessarily lead to dependence. The quantity, frequency and regularity of alcohol consumption combined with the ramifications of financial loss, family disruption, job loss and health problems contribute to the definition.

Contrary to what you are addicted to alcohol can be heard is not an incurable brain disease. In fact, this is not a disease at all! But for decades people have believed that alcohol addiction is a disease. Most psychologists, counselors and specialists today still believe that alcohol addiction is an incurable disease that must be "managed" for a lifetime, and that "there is no remedy "
However, this is not a genetically predisposed disease that is transmitted by defective genes.

The bio-psycho-current disease of alcoholism is as follows:
The biological theory - Suggests that habitual users of drugs or alcohol have a biological anomaly that enables them to become addicted. The theory suggests that some people are genetically predisposed to addiction by a faulty gene or perhaps a chemical imbalance in the brain, which makes the dependence of an incurable disease!

The psychological theory - Views of drugs or alcohol as a problem behavior. In other words the individual uses alcohol or drugs to enjoy the effects that these substances have on the body and mind.

The sociological theory - Suggests that societies which produce high levels of internal tensions such as guilt, stress, suppressed aggression and conflict have higher rates of addiction. In addition, the model suggests that societies that tolerate such behavior and to encourage a higher rate of addiction.

You see, millions of people in the United States have parents who are addicted to alcohol, so they are not addicted to substances of any kind, and never have been.

In my opinion, the sociological aspect determines the type of addiction someone chooses, in large part due to nothing other than display. Therefore, it is important to make a change of lifestyle. This may include the adoption of a new circle of friends and activities that are not conducive to drinking water!

Now of course these are common sense philosophies, and then they can all be useful, neither of them darn mean anything if you do not go to the root of what is causing your distress Emotional!

It is no secret that people appreciate the impact of alcohol! But why some people would enjoy the occasion while others need daily? The marked difference here is that the occasional drinker is using it just for that, enjoy the experience while the habitual drinker is using it to ease pain of their emotional trauma. In many ways it is a solution for people addicted to alcohol! It gets rid of the need to see the truth and deal with their emotional pain. But I assure you there is a better way to treat emotional pain. One you can work with in the privacy of your home!

You know, some people think that to overcome alcoholism is just a matter of having the will to stop drinking, but this is not a question of will at all. For many people who suffer from this dependence, it is a temporary solution to deaden the pain underlying emotional problems. Therefore, the majority has no desire for alcohol because of a chemical dependency, but rather because the happiness it brings them in removing their emotional pain.

Addiction is not a disease because it is a symptom that arises due to the need to alleviate the pain of underlying emotional trauma caused by family dysfunction.

Once the emotional pain and trauma is removed and self-esteem is restored, the symptoms disappear, and the alcohol becomes repulsive to you.
