As Old Market is a popular spot there are many souvenir shops, such as Cairo and Luxor, you have to haggle in the shops for the best price once you get the hang of it, it's pretty fun. One of my tips for bargain is to ask the price, half and work around that figure, try not to pay over two-thirds of the original figure. Remember there will probably be another shop a few meters from selling the same thing, so if you can not get a good price for the first, you can find a better deal the second, third and so on.
