I think many of us have no idea what we drink, because the system in the United Kingdom uses to measure alcohol in drinks is a bit complicated, so I created a useful and easy to use guide so that you can drink safely and responsibly!

The alcohol content of drinks is measured in units, with a unit of the United Kingdom containing eight grams of pure alcohol. Now, you can not count every drink as a unit of alcohol, unfortunately, the number of units depends on the strength and sizes of each drink, so it can vary greatly.

So what is healthy?

The British government said that men should not drink more regularly 3 to 4 units per day and women should not take more than 2 to 3 units per day. Continue to drink four or more units for men and three women or more can cause health problems gradually, it is preferable to stick to the recommended levels!

Drinking and driving ...

The legal limit for drink driving is 80 mg per 100 milliliters of blood, but it can not easily be translated into alcohol units as this can be affected by age, weight, sex and whether the food has been consumed, plus a host of other factors. It is (to be sure) better not to drink and drive!

A little interesting fact: your body breaks down alcohol at a rate of about one unit per hour - and nope, there's no way you can speed things up!
