Safe Drinking Containers

Safe Drinking ContainersWhat are the numbers of drinking bottles and plastic containers?

I read some plastics are not safe to drink or keep food in. These figures have scored. What are the safe "numbers" to use? I am aware that you should not heat food in microwaves in all types of plastic container.
Thank you.

You should stay away from # 3, # 6, # 7 (polycarbonate) which could leach into your water and, unfortunately, many water bottles are made from # 7. Scary, is not it!
Recommended # 1 (PETE) and # 2 (HDPE)

You should really stay away from all the plastics especially with the heat. Pyrex makes great glass containers for food, and if you want a big glass bottle of water, see http://livinglavidaverde.net/store.aspx Flag
