Residential Wine Cellars

Residential Wine CellarsHow to Install an opening on a floor mat * * door to head to wine () in a house in the historic cellar?

My girlfriend in the early 1800s the house of beautiful hardwood floors. In an article, the ground opens, revealing a staircase leading to the small basement area. Of course, all hinges / hardware are hidden, it looks like a hardwood floor, except for a brass ring that you use to lift the door. The problem is that the door (with the wood above) is large and heavy, and lifting 70 pounds with a brass ring with two fingers is not only painful, it is hard on the back too. I have pictures and can have the exact dimensions, but I would say 4 feet by 8 feet and 70 pounds. I searched the Internet for spring, pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical devices. Some exist, but certainly not marketed specifically for a hardwood floor is residential, where everything must fit underneath. I do not think there are enough of these gates around more to make it useful on the market opener for them. Thoughts? Thank you. Jason

They come in many strengths and suppliers given the weight and position where you want to put your legs will it work for you. I could have looked for you, but do not know which country you are
