What is a "safe" weekly consumption of alcohol? I post this question after reading an interesting article wikipedia ("recommended maximum intake of alcoholic beverages").
I wonder how it is that different countries make very different estimates of the amount of alcohol is safe to consume in one week. Estimation of Australia seems to be fairly generous (4-6 units per day, one or two days a week without alcohol, and 28 units per week max). Canada, meanwhile, is much more conservative (2 units per day, a week max 14 units).
How health experts arrive at these estimates differ? And this estimate seems more reasonable to you?
The rule of thumb is a glass of wine, a shot of alcohol or can of beer per day MAX
This amount also depends heavily on your diet and medications you take.
The drug (acetaminophen the active ingredient in Tylenol and the generic versions of Tylenol) is much more toxic to the liver where alcohol is present. This drug interaction is not mentioned in Commericals Tylenol that would be bad for sales.
no
im with Canada. more than two drinks per day seems a little too
None.
Yahoo News had an article today that moderate drinkers have said in better health than non-drinkers and light drinkers. It has defined moderate drinking as 4-14 drinks per week. Using these guidelines 2 glasses per day should be your daily max.
