Pictures Of People Drinking Water

Pictures Of People Drinking WaterWhat is the general situation regarding drinking water in Australia?

I know a lot of sadness and grief that people, once you broach the subject of Australia, go "Ha!" These poor souls will be out of the water soon! "
I can not imagine that's quite true.
I mean, come on, it is a huge country about the size of the United States, with only a fraction of the population in it. Surely, there must be enough water there for centuries?
Or am I wrong?

I guess I'm a little jaded all that we have more than enough where I live. (Who is the tropical north Queensland) I remember he watered for one week a few months back and he told the newspaper that our filled dam for 3 years. .. but anyway we have a dry and a rainy season here so we never have to worry but there is still water restrictions in place, for example) water your garden every 2 days not every day and try to keep showers to less than 3 minutes.

SE Queensland, New South Wales and Vic is not as lucky - glad I'm not there!

Take a look at http://www.cecaust.com.au/pubs/pdfs/AWP. ... PDF Doc, but he has a map of Australia and demonstrates the problem areas and explains why .....

Fairly typical of media hype. It's the only thing they hear when they think it applies to the entire continent.

Some cities have been in trouble last year, particularly in Brisbane and Queensland Toowoomba and Goulburn in NSW where population growth has outstripped supply because of drought lasting several years.

You can probably visit the Brisbane City Council for the current restrictions on water use and dam levels. As far as I know things the usual wet season (November to March) has eased somewhat. Restrictions are on watering the garden, do not drink or the bathroom.

Most cities in Australia have always limited the use of water in the garden for some hours or days of the week. This has to do with the capacity of the treatment plant almost as much storage available.

Many parts of Australia for months without significant rainfall is normal. The result is that Australians are the builders of large dams. However, in recent years, rainfall during the wetter parts of the year was lower, leading to a decrease of water storage.

Australia does not look like New Zealand, Europe or the United States where the climate is more regular. The climate is different and can be described as "variable, often dry.

I am currently living in Victoria and there are no restrictions on drinking water. You are invited to showers short, and you can not water the grass near can not use a hose at all, and in some places can not water the garden at certain times on certain days.

Yes, we have a much smaller population compared to the United States, but much of our land is desert. Where it rains and where water is collected is basically where all people live, and the rain is increasingly rare. At last check dams Melbourne average 29.6% full. Rural areas are worse off, and most farmers are in real trouble.

Everyone tries to be smart, so we should not be out of water for at least two centuries, but it does not look like hard water restrictions will be removed in the near future.
Without them, this drought would get much more.

haha .... and of course, we are able to drink water.
Well, if you see Australia on a map, you will see that we have a lot of desert. our environment has adapted to not having a lot of water, our trees have bark and dry leaves crunch if you press them, because they hold very little water. much of the earth No is not used as it is too hot and dry, and most Australians live near the beach. Australia has always been a dry country ... this is not something.
