Origo Alcohol Stove

Origo Alcohol StoveI am trying to understand how E85 ethanol and separated into gas so I can only use ethanol!?

I have a Origo alcohol stove in my house that I run on ethanol, or denatured alcohol (fossil fuels kitchen free!). Unfortunately, denatured alcohol $ 13/gallon, while E85 is ~ $ 3/gallon. But I do not want to use E85 in my stove at home, because the combustion of gasoline by 15% allows a quality of indoor air. So I want to know if there is a way to separate the ethanol gasoline? Freezing or evaporation? I have no idea! Otherwise, is there another source of ethanol to 100%, I buy in bulk, in a tank if I could!

I think the best way is to boil the essence. After gas at a much lower temperature than alcohol, then you should be able to make a kind of distillation gas to boil.

U could use an old cream separator. U may be necessary to turn at high rpm, but it worked well for us to separate the lubricating oil and water sludge.

Clearly, there is another source for ethanol. But I wonder if the majority needed to get $ 3 a gallon is less than one million gallons.

You can separate the ethanol gasoline in the same way that ethanol is separated from water and gas is separated from crude oil. You must make a "still" that boils down off the gas and it collects to the line. Since this is very, very, very, very dangerous, I do not recommend trying this at home, or anywhere else for that matter.

There are stations that sell E100 (in fact, it is technically E99) where you can get almost pure ethanol. They are mostly in the Midwest and California, and you have to hunt for them. You still have gasoline to about 1% in the mixture, gasoline is the cheapest chemical denaturation which has properties close enough to burn ethanol.

Your alcohol stove does not burn ethanol. It is the burning almost all alcohol if I'm not mistaken. Butenol propenol and should also be well in your stove.

I found that most of these stoves use an alcohol gel as Sterno, or any other brand. If this is not the case, I am sure sterno or equivalent may be used in your pan with some modifications, either for or sterno stove.

There are also places like Gander Mountain that sell fuel for cooking, which is essentially the alcohol fuel. Just look around, because not everything is a fuel made of alcohol is directly labeled that way.
