Hi Neena!
Mississauga water is safe to drink!
The Region of Peel treats its water to prevent contamination and regularly tests the quality, including microbiological, inorganic and organic parameters and operational controls.
Brampton, Mississauga and Bolton are supplied with water from Lake Ontario. This water is treated in two treatment plants, the Lakeview and Lorne Park Water Treatment Plants, operated under contract to the Region of Peel by the Ontario Clean Water Agency (OCWA).
To protect public health, the Ministry of Environment has set the standard for drinking water in Ontario (ODWS). These objectives ensure that the water used by the public is free of pathogens, dangerous amounts of toxic chemicals and radioactive materials.
The Region of Peel is proud to announce that it has met these standards in 2004.
The Region of Peel operates municipal water supply in accordance with provincial regulations:

· The Peel region is consistent with all samples of water and needs analysis required by Regulation 170/03 under the Safe Drinking Water Act of drinking water, drinking water standards in Ontario, authorization for taking water and the certificate of approval conditions.
· The region of Peel, Ontario joined the Department of Environment guidelines and procedures to ensure the protection of public health and operational excellence.
I live in Florida so I'm not exactly sure of the water in Canada. I am sure that if a company then sells it to water has cleaned some how. There are probably some guidelines and procedures to follow to keep drinking water. They can add certain chemicals to the water or putting it through the filters. Aquifers (natural cleansing of water in the earth) no doubt naturally clean the water. If not for homework or school, you may want to search on google or something. BTW thank you for answering my question.
Thank you for answering my question.
and sorry .... but I do not understand exactly this question. I would really help if I did. sorry! (
