Large Wine Glasses

Large Wine GlassesIs it my imagination or do great red wine glasses wine taste better than the glasses?

I have wine glasses that hold 6 oz and 12 oz glasses hold 6 oz Filling 12 oz full and half full, I just realized that red wine tastes better in glass 12 oz (same wind - red same bottle, same). Can this be true, and if, what is the reason?

I watched a program about it and it is true.
Here is the link to their results ...

I do not really know why it tastes different, but it's not your imagination.

it shuld be in a large glass open as air is the best of taste

Yes, it's done. when the red wine breathe more (big glass), it tastes better. Therefore, they recommend putting your red wine in a decanter before serving ... to let him breathe before drinking.

I think your head is not its true when you have a bigger glass Oxegen ago that allows the flavors of wines out more thats why you sopossed aroud it to swirl before drinking.

yeah because it breathes, which is why they call the large wine glasses red wine glasses

This is not your imagination. There are even different wine glasses for different wines to enhance flavor. In addition, red wine needs to breathe, in general. The smooth air acids on the young wine tannins, a sort of premature aging. More glass, more air. Try a red wine with artichokes to see a real change.

Yes, wine breathesmore in a tall glass, including one with a larger opening at the top. This allows the wine to open up further to create a different flavor of the drink in a glass with a smaller aperture. I like to drink red wine on a large glass thin frame ... mmmmm

There are different sizes of glasses for different wines. Some wines (like most red wines) to improve the taste after they "breath" a bit. Thus, a large glass provides some of this flexibility "by providing a larger area.

The next time you get a red wine, open the bottle and take a sample immediately. Then leave the open bottle to sit in the room are for about 10 minutes and take another sample. Then, put a little wider in your glass and swirl it around and put your nose inside to feel the fragrences. Then taste again.

You will find in each case above, the taste is a bit different and hopefully better each time.

Good luck and enjoy your wine!

large glasses allow the wine to breathe more easily and more quickly because of the large area. The oxidation occurs and the flavors out. This is why many places, pour wine into a decanter before serving.
