Lack Of Drinking Water

Lack Of Drinking WaterSafe Drinking Water Home:: Is it guaranteed?

Safe drinking water at home is not our responsibilty federal or local governments. It is because we control what we do with the water coming out of our taps. So what can we do about drinking water safety at home?

Of course, the government does try to purify our water and protect our health. But do not leave it in the hands only. There are things we can and must do. I'll get to that in a moment. But first what is the danger lurking in the water that can enter our home, our food, our water wash and shower?

Poison Water

There are many poisons in surface water and groundwater. There are bacteria that cause disease and parasitic cysts, traces of lead and prescription drugs. Treatment facilities for chemicals to kill bacteria and many other measures to improve the safety of drinking water, but many contaminants are found in supplies that are ready to be sent to the public.

In the U.S., the Environmental Protection Agency is primarily responsible for what comes out of our drinking water taps. They have regulations in place for about 60 different items. The rest, which amounts to more than 2000 different toxins, are not regulated.

Treatment facilities are needed to test for the 60 controlled substances. The EPA decided that there are "safe" levels of consumption of those. Of course, even how they arrived at that decision is flawed, but what about other toxic compounds were found elapsed without control of drinking water taps in the country?

There is no way to guarantee the safety of drinking water when you ignore science that you have hired to advise you. EPA was informed years ago that the "safe" level of consumption can not be accurately determined because there is so much different synthesis and organic chemicals.

To determine a level of security, we must suppose that there is only one present at a given time. Combination of different chemical compounds increases exponentially toxicity.

What can do to get your drinking water safety Home?

Someone should inform the public that they need no filtration devices using their personal drinking water taps. Government officials are afraid to make that recommendation for a number of reasons.

So, again, it becomes the personal responsibility of people like you and me to inform others about the lack of safe potable water. Environmental groups try. But many people do not listen to environmentalists.

For example, the Environmental Working Group (EWG) recently recommended that the millions of homeowners and more in Metro DC and Northern Virginia should install carbon filters on their water taps. But if you quick survey I did, I am sure you will find that the majority of the population has not taken the precaution.

Bottled water can be dangerous

Many people rely on the safety of bottled drinking water. They try to "bypass" the problem. Bottled water can be as contaminated as tap water. The EWG found that 30% of bottled water from a municipal source, in other words, the companies drinking water taps.

Plastic bottles can leak chemicals

No further purification device is needed. The FDA requires only that what is in the bottle is "as good as" no better than tap water. Some manufacturers of protest, but they can not deny that the bottles are a major source of pollution and that the liquid stored in absorbing the chemicals used to make plastic.

If the cases are stored in a warehouse grocery store next to lawn care products, compounds in the products can actually seep through plastic. The only way.
