Should we Wrath of the Lich King? Like many World Warcraft players I struggled with the idea of plunging into another expansion. I thought I had at 70, did some damage in battlegrounds and Arena, since many well-known events like Leroy Jenkins and "more points", and heard more than Chuck Norris and a murloc jokes ever man should be subjected to. Maybe it was time to hang up the druid and do something else? Try a different game?
I thought that The Burning Crusade once out, I'd be a max of characters, running a lot of end game content, and do with it. I mean, for Pete's sake, is it ever be an end? Will we see 23 Number of expansion where the level cap is increased to 1400, everyone gets a bazooka and our pets are family and the animals of their own? Are there ever be an end? I guess the answer to this question is as long as Blizz makes money it will keep going and going and going. Is this a bad thing? A good thing? Is it important?
A referral to the joint World of Warcraft is the total expenditure of time many things too. For those who do not play most of the things they hear about in WoW is the media. Most of this coverage is about drug addicts who are sitting at the keyboard for 100 hours per week and some horrific examples of real violence in the real world related to something that happened in the game (which is just crazy) .
These examples, although they may make good television, are by far the exception rather than the norm. I know several people who play and among them the average number of hours per week in the games is about 10 hours. Do you know how many hours of television does the average American shows a week? Approximately 30. watches, the average American over 4 hours of television per day (seriously, look up!). No interaction or thinking or trying to solve the puzzle or do anything other than sitting and using a 1:6 screen everyday. Its incredible.
Back to the anger of the Lich King expansion and the decision. I really kick play WoW as a casual gamer. Its fun. You get to blow stuff and beat the bad guys. There is a decent amount of thought and problem solving thats needed when playing at the highest levels, especially when placed in situations raid. There is a subculture very strange line in the game that can sometimes be really fun. His hobbies that I share with 11 million others and, overall, compared to a lot of hobbies, its pretty cheap. Try to find a hobby that can keep you enthralled for hours and you can do as much as you want under one dollar a day. Not easy.
So, as you probably guessed, I recently purchased the expansion. Is this the best thing ever? I'm not sure yet. Is this the coolest ever be produced by expanding an online game ever? Not sure. Is it useful? Watch it as a purely financial ...
This expansion is designed to last at least a year and a half, if not more, before the next one. Thus, spreading the cost of this expansion to more than 18 months is $ 2.22 per month. Added WoW cost monthly subscription fee of $ 15 per month youre looking at a cost of less than $ 18 per month, or 60 cents a day. The price of coke over a dollar and a cup of coffee more than $ 2. A movie ticket for one is about $ 10, add popcorn, a chocolate bar and a drink and you are very close to $ 18 for just a few hours.
Is it worth it? I would say without a doubt, yes. You'll have the chance to see new content, running with friends, and stay out of trouble a bit. And do not forget all the free
