Why my new glasses to blur? I bought glasses hand blown drinking a few months ago. They now have an accumulation of residue on them. You can see when you hold the light. My glasses do not have this other problem. I use dishwashing liquid gel and spray dry. I tried scrubbing with a scrubber and dishsoap but it will not budge. Any suggestions, I do not discard.
Bring them to the optician.
Turbidity is usually due to an accumulation of some kind of fat. (Milk fat is known for that.) Try washing your glasses by hand with a little oven cleaner, then rinse thoroughly. Oven cleaner contains sodium hydroxide (NaOH), which has the interesting property of transforming fat into soap. It will clean almost anything. This is not exactly "toxic", but it is caustic. (Other names are "caustic soda" and "laundry.") If you are sensitive, use rubber gloves. Is unpleasant to breathe.
I had the same problem I realized that my salt level is decreasing.
Try white vinegar and water mix. If it works, you have an accumulation of minerals in your water. Probably hard water.
