Beer Takes a giant leap in Thailand Draft beer and cider project in Thailand took a big step forward in 2009 with the appearance earlier this year of some high quality beers both in the United Kingdom, France and Australia. Based in Bangkok, the importer of fluids Asia Pacific now has seven brands of beer upscale importance of these countries as well as two English ciders. Most of these brands are available in both barrels and bottles project and the company has imported more brands than any other importer project in Thailand.
Brands that are now available are SmoothFlow Tetley's, Victoria Pride Bitter, Stowford Press cider and cider from Weston UK, Kronenbourg 1664 beer from France and Foster's, Victoria Bitter, Crown Lager and Pure beer blonde of Australia. And these brands are available in major tourist and expatriate communities around the country with a wide distribution in most of Bangkok, Pattaya and the East Coast region, Phuket, Koh Samui, Hua Hin and Chiang Mai. There are now hundreds of outlets in the country that carries one or more of these marks, or in bottles or draft.
At the end of fluids Asia-Pacific will be more evenly trademark, with beer Grolsch of the Netherlands and Peroni beer from Italy to join the programming business. This is more good news for fans of premium beer and it may be difficult to understand why this is so, without some explanation on the situation of beer in Thailand.
Firstly, in the early 1930s the government granted a monopoly to a company, Boonrawd Brewery, to brew beer in the country where they do under the brand name of Singha. This monopoly lasted until the mid-'70s, when several other companies were allowed to establish foreign beers and breweries were gradually allowed to be imported. However, the market is still dominated by Singha, Chang - another brand Thai - and a local version of the Heineken brewery. If any of these beers is not one of your favorites, you're out of luck in many places across the country, especially if you're a bit off the beaten track.
Second, many companies that the imported beer in Thailand are small and underfunded and often have supply problems resulting in cafes and restaurants do not have stocks for periods of time. In addition, these companies tend to almost exclusively imported bottled beers and not the project. Importation of beer requires a lot more capital expenditure from the port of drums is more expensive and there are high costs associated with providing the equipment needed to serve draft beer. A company financed as much fluid Asia-Pacific Capital to manage these additional requirements.
Anyway, what are some reasons why it is new to beer drinkers in Thailand where new brands, particularly those of countries of origin for expatriates to visit the land of smiles . As time passes, the selection of beer in the kingdom is slowly getting better and with the addition of quality brands like the ones Asia-Pacific brings fluid into the lot of beer drinkers here has a major step forward in a short period of time.
