What is a good white wine to go with fondue? It is our 3 anniversary on Saturday and we did not really want to go out, so we'll do a fancy dinner at home. We decided to make a traditional cheese fondue for something special and different. What is a good white wine to go with fondue?? Nothing too dry or too expensive please!
Pinot Blanc is a wine for food par excellence. You can find a good bottle for under $ 10 which is citrus with medium body and long-term, high-gloss finish.
Sauvignon Blanc is a little more expensive (~ $ 15) but I think it has a fruity finish - grapefruit, nectarines, pears, tangerines, honey. It would be delicious with the cheese fondue.
Ask the person in your wine store that you would recommend, and never be afraid to tell them when you're on a budget. There are many good California, Australia and New Zealand wines at prices too.
Chardonnay or Chablis goes well, they are light and fruity wines that go well with cheese ... Barton & Gustier a bottle of Chardonnay are solid, there really is a ton hence the Luna Di Luna Chardonnay Pinot mix (the blue bottle) is a simple one that does not like people. I am a red fan, but the Luna Di Luna so I'll drink the company.
I would try Kendall Jackson Chardonnay. It is very inexpensive and available at any grocery or liquor store.
you can try is light and fruity sangria is one of my favorites
White Zinfandel is well
A Pinot Grigio would be great with fondue. I think Turning Leaf one, and they are not expensive at all
For something you could try a dry Vouvray, but others I would recommend a valley of the Loire or Burgundy white oak too. Maybe if you want to try a new varietal Viognier to go with good wine and well in the State of New York as well. of wine will go well with cheese. try champagne or a sparkler if you want
