Lexapro, Effexor XR, Bars ....? Smoking Hello everyone, This question relates to SSRIs, smoking marijuana and alcohol. I've been on Lexapro for 2 years now. Start at 10 mg / day and approximately 1 year I am down to 5 mg per day and after 4 months to 5 mg every two days, then I tried every 3rd day became very anxious and now I'm back on 5 mg / day in two. Well the bad thing is that later play with doses started giving me weird side effects (headahce, less coordinated, etc. ...) so I went to the doctor. He suggested that I go to Effexor XR 37.5 mg daily of Lexapro. Now I want to get completely SSRIs thats why I went to every 3rd day but obviously am not ready to panic attacks. I still try to get these things so completely. Do I listen to the doc or a stick spirit of Lexapro? Next What is the deal with alcohol and lex or Effexor. From what I read, it seems lex is not as bad as mixing effexor with alcohol. Finally no smoking Mary Jane all these drugs hurt you? Thank you!
Well, it seems you have quite a mixed cocktail for yourself!
Sounds nice. I must remember the ingredients. Can you take a Lortab 10/500 above all that and really Throwed?
Congratulations, you're probably on your way to kill you.
play with SSRIs is very dangerous.
either you get the drug
or you stop doing all that crap.
you up.
By the way, you're an idiot for smoking pot
and drinking. alcohol and weed are both depressants.
and now wonder why your medications do not work.
Panic attacks are caused by something inside the body, which then affects the chemicals and how they relate to the brain.
Have you been tesed for liver disease? You'd be surprised to find answers to your questions here!
if the liver is not functioning properly it can create toxins in the body, which eventually be passing the blood-brain barrier causing misfire or not enough this or that (serretonin one). Drinking at this point should be stopped until you may know What's happening with the liver.
I mention hepatitis C more than 5 million people it has and most do not know that. side effects often or secondary diseases caused by viruses that are often diagnosed as a single issue.
mental illness and panic attacks are much higher in those with liver disease (hepatitis C to be exact).
Have you been tested for HCV antibodies do? Have you been checked for NASH or hepatitis caused by mono perhaps?
it's worth getting tested for! alt and AST levels are not always raise with HCV infection, which, if they were they indicate a problem with the liver. Doctors often assume that the liver is because enzymes normal or slightly elevated.
Last but not least, everyone has a risk factor for HCV infection. Many people who have no idea how they could contract the disease.
BTW, I have not had a panic attack, or had to use anti-depressants since I had a lasting solution to antiviral chemotherapy.
Avoid boards effexor ... which can actually cause panic attacks worse. stick with Lexapro, but please get your liver checked.
take my post to your doctor, not a psychiatrist, just a doctor and he can send you to a gastroenterologist!
try a keep it legal, you can get high off of pills and alcohol, but the pot can get you into trouble. pills that are in the category of barbiturates are good
