Drinking While Trying To Get Pregnant

Drinking While Trying To Get PregnantSmoking and drinking while trying to get pregnant?

I am a social drinker and smoker and my husband and I just started trying to get pregnant. I will leave both of these things when I know I'm pregnant, but should I stop now? I like to drink with my friends and if I end up not being pregnant, I missed it. Anyone have any suggestions?

I can tell you that the fetal alcohol syndrome, which can cause mental retardation and severe to life for the baby, which happens around day 17 of gestation. You probably will not find that you are pregnant after 28 days. I have a son who is mentally disabled for other reasons, but met with mothers of children with FAS who were unaware of the risks. They now have a lifetime of guilt, knowing that what they have done to their children.
Smoking is not a good idea either.
Remember, some of the most important development of your baby can happen before you know you're pregnant!
What do you think you are missing out on? How will you handle the coming months to "miss", and after that, especially after you have a child at daycare? Make sure you're ready to suck and all that is necessary for health and safety of your baby, even if it's a baby you're not sure you've read yet.

Awwwwwwwwww!
What's more important to you? Being pregnant or feel that you have not missed out on drinks with the girlies?? Seriously!
You should stop now and start taking folic acid now.
It is fine to say "I'll stop if I'm pregnant," but it is never as simple as that. I stopped drinking immediately with my first (even before I knew the way - I went to my right and vodka do not understand why!) And I've never really been a drinker since .
With smoking, I have to leave again immediately with my first, and then towards the end of my pregnancy, I started to have hot sneaky. With this pregnancy, I had a good 3 weeks to stop smoking completely and even now, when my husband goes out for one, I want to go too!
For the sake of all, quit bad habits now and start preparing your body for pregnancy.

If possible, you should quit smoking while trying to conceive. If you smoke, your chances of getting pregnant are actually a little lower than someone who does not smoke. A little alcohol should be okay while trying to conceive, but I would not have a lot together. Good luck!

The drink is a way way worse than smoking, but you absolutely must leave time. If you feel you will miss because you can not drink, honestly, you may want to wait several years before having children?
Make sure you take vitamins especially folic acid deficiency because in that in early pregancy (prior knowledge) can cause birth defects.

I would stop before you start trying. This way, if you do not "give in" once or twice it will not be a big deal. But if you end up giving once your pregnant, it can do much harm to the fetus.

With alcohol in many of us would not be here. he he he. jk

it might be better to stop or reduce. get used to not drink and smoke, you have to live 9 months or more with it.

I have smoked (regularly) and drunk (sometimes) until I got pregnant, but obviously your chances of getting pregnant will be much greater if you stop all of it now ... Good luck!

If you stop drinking and smoking it will make your chances of getting pregnant more than I heard.

stop drinking and smoking until you know for sure that you are not pregnant. the first weeks of pregnancy are the most crucial.

but drink very lite and not smoking
