Drinking While Taking Amoxicillin

My friends and I are throwing a party Friday and my doctor put me on amoxicillin 500 mg for my throat. What happens if I drink alcohol? I thought not take the pill on Friday so that I can drink, but I'm not sure what to do. What is the risk of drinking during my treatment?

no dangerous interaction with alcohol and AMX. If you have strep and not maintain a certain level of ABX for a specified period, they will not "work" (STREP is self limiting bacterial infection usually resolves with or without treatment within 10-14 days)
If you do not have strep-even bother to take them, remember that many activities related to the festival are killers for the immune system, lack of sleep, smoking, alcohol, poor diet and do stuffin the midst of a viral or bacterial * could * be worse, or go lower airways in bronchitis to say, or "chest cold"

Several years ago, a doctor told me that alcohol "kills" penicillin is in your antibiotic.

I skip the pill and drink to celebrate. Simply return the next day.
