Drinking While On Penicillin

Drinking While On PenicillinDrugs in drinking water threaten your health

Is it possible that there are drugs in your drinking water? Surely this is \ is not possible when you drink one glass of water you drug \ 're drinking? Lets take a look at the possibility that there are drugs in drinking water in the United States.

Maybe we can start with a quote from Ralph Nader Institute. \ "Drinking Water of the United States contains over 2,100 toxic chemicals that can cause cancer. \"

Now, of \ "being toxic \ chemical" can not include drugs, but it \ 's pretty scary place to start discussion. However there is much other evidence that there are drugs found in drinking water on reserves of ordinary water. Including antibiotics.

Curiously, some of the evidence for drugs in drinking water comes from a high school student. In 1999, a high school student in West Virginia has decided to do a science project to school by testing for levels of antibiotics in the rivers. Ashley Mulroy tested for penicillin, tetracycline and vancomycin in the water by taking samples over a period of 10 weeks from the Ohio River and have them tested. Antibiotics have been found in all samples.

It was therefore decided to test tap water for antibiotics, and got the same result.

Take a quote on the website Environmental Health Perspectives. \ "About 100 pharmaceutical products have now been identified in rivers, lakes, coastal waters and throughout Europe and the United States. \"

How about on the MSNBC website: \ "Traces of 56 drugs for human and veterinary medicine or their byproducts - like the active ingredients of drugs for pain, infections, high cholesterol, asthma, epilepsy, mental illness and heart problems - have been detected in drinking water in Philadelphia water. \ "

Or USA Today: \ "A wide range of pharmaceuticals - including antibiotics, anticonvulsants, mood stabilizers and sex hormones - have been found in the drinking water of at least 41 million Americans , shows an Associated Press investigation. \ "

standards for municipal drinking water requires that the seeds be removed from the water before it is safe for general use, however, there are no standards for the elimination of the drug, and no requirement that drugs are tested for one or the other, or deleted.

It is clear that there are drugs found in drinking water in the United States, the question is how much and what risks does this pose to your health if you drink unfiltered water?

Who knows?

There is no clear evidence anyway, but it seems clear that the presence of drugs in drinking water in the United States makes us all part of an experiment about the effects of drinking small amounts pharmaceutical products over a period of time.

What can you do to protect yourself and your family against the risk to your health by drinking water contaminated by drugs? Drink pure water.

Does bottled n \ water pure water, in many cases \ 's no better than tap water, and may be worse.

But it is well known how to purify your drinking water for the drug and the other \ "2100 Toxic \ chemical" that the Institute Ralph Nader says perhaps the glass of tap water that you \ 's about to drink now or to cook with it or shower with.

However, only the worlds most best water filters are good enough to eliminate risks such as medications in drinking water, or hormone, or lead, or pesticides or herbicides, or I think you get image. So, get the best water filter that modern technology can produce and be free of these drugs in drinking water that you may be using now.
