Collectible Beer Steins

Does anyone have experience German beer steins collectible. My understanding that it is not profitable. True / Not True? Some of the mugs are authentic beautiful I find it difficult to beieve they would not value. There is a difference between an antique and a collection Stein Stein? What websites specialize in this area? Thank you?

Check steins eBay and see what is the highest price ... approximately U.S. 923.80 USD ...... Hmm looks like money in them.
