Bordeaux Wine Tour

We are in an exchange program with a fellow winemaker, where visits of vineyards will be obvious. What are the other attractions not to miss here?

Bordeaux is a wonderful city.
Be sure to spend the evening walking in the St. Catherine Street (pedestrian street) Gateway Dijeaux La Victoire.
Pey Berland Cathedral is very nice and the Place de la Bourse is well worth seeing, especially at night.
Around Bordeaux I strongly suggest that Saint-Emilion is one of the most beautiful villages in France.
The Bassin d'Arcachon is also nice though it may be a little disappointing winter. If you have time be sure to see Arcachon and the Dune du Pyla spectacular (dunes and the largest in Europe).
If you have a car, you can go to Sarlat in the Dordogne (less than 3 hours) and then there are the caves of Lascaux in the same region (prehistoric caves).
Toulouse, La Rochelle and the Ile d'Oleron are not far either.
If you have time, Spain is about 5 hours away and the Pyrenees are gorgeous (you can ski there).

Hello of course the best thing is to go skiing or snowboarding and the beach is out of the question, residents winter.France on Switzerland and Italy and there are many fanatics stations near the border in France and easily accessible by road or rail [TGV] or plane.I normally take the train from Paris via Lyon to the French Alps.It a beautiful part of the country and not far from Bordeaux-link either.The below give you an idea of stations there.After a hard day of skiing that does not enjoy a bottle of French wine then.
