Most people who abuse alcohol do so in their college years, whether or not college. Approximately 80% quit or learn to moderate as they begin to take on adult responsibilities.
Too much drink?:

(Site very cool drinking, good info, non-judgmental)
You can check with your local library for books by Jack Trimpey (founder RR) or Jim Christopher (founder of SOS).
I am involved with groups online recovery (and recovery of AA groups), there was enough support for me. RR, SOS, SMART Recovery, and all online groups.
Im just giving you the knowledge I have on this point. I do not think you need AA, because you're already aware that you are an alcoholic. But later in life, it may support to stay sober. I suggest getting help from your doctor. Therefore, I was told a substance abuse counselor who is an alcoholic is actually more dangerous than the recovery of a drug. It has serious adverse effects on the body, and you may need medication to help you out. Talk to your doctor, who is familiar with alcoholism, and see what they recommend. Hope this helps.
I know it's hard, but just stop. Do not hang around people who drink. If you must, find new friends to go out with. Maybe find a new hobby that interests you. Put your energies there. Also, I know you do not want to hear this, but it is true - to please quit smoking, you should want. Nobody but you can make that decision.
You said you've tried and hated AA. Do you really give it a try? I speak more than a month? It takes time. Rehab is the same. There is no silver bullet, but solutions to a problem that could be dangerous for you or for the rest of your life.
Good luck.
Honestly, the best thing to stop drinking is wake-up service.
Just think, if you are very present in your alcohol, it will probably be the thing that will kill you at the end.
Maybe one day when you have children, they will be the reason for your termination, to stay alive as long as possible and give them the mother they deserve.
Or maybe you just need to talk to someone who is not involved in an organization like AA.
Leave me a message if you ever want to talk, I do not mind.
Hope this helps a little.
Ha ha AA sucks dude, I was forced to go lol. But you know what made it easier for me to stop drinking had just quit smoking, I know it may seem a seam hard, but try not to put yourself in a situation where consumption is a problem ... Or you can simply try to drink less ... or what I smoke a ton of **** lol weed, then you will not have the drive to stand up and take your lazy *** in the refrigerator for a beer lol good luck in slowing or stop .. .
It appears that you acknowledge your alcohol problem and are willing to make a change. This is half the battle. My advice: Ask God to help. It will help you recover. Find new friends. Come in new places where alcohol is not served. Ask for help. Open to anyone. His 19 years you have most of your life before you. Enjoy it without alcohol. Go to college or training.
