Benefits Of Drinking Cranberry Juice

Benefits Of Drinking Cranberry JuiceWhat are the benefits of consumption of cranberry juice daily?

I had a urinary tract infection for a couple of months, had several courses of antibiotics (which did nothing), and now I am waiting for another course (after my last result urine sample return ). As someone mentioned here, cranberry juice may help fight infection and, yes, it seems to be useful to many.
Anything that does cranberry juice do for the body, are the benefits? and she is drinking a day, safely?

You may have heard that drinking cranberry juice helps Ward further urinary tract infections. Now more reasons to drink - A new study finds that the juice can reduce the risk of heart disease in people with high cholesterol, and provide antioxidant properties.

This is the first scientific evidence that the juice, long thought to have benefits for reducing cholesterol, actually does. For the study, researchers measured cholesterol levels of 19 individuals of high cholesterol, which had a risk of heart disease. Each participant drank 27% pure cranberry juice, commonly found in supermarkets. Participants were divided into two groups. Ten drank cranberry juice with artificial sweetener, 9 with sugar. During the first month, each consumed a glass of eight ounces per day for the second month, two glasses, and the third, three glasses. Their cholesterol was tested every month.

Three drinks a day raised good cholesterol 10%, which reduces their risk of heart disease by 40%. The antioxidant properties have been evident with just one or two drinks per day. Antioxidants are nutrients that small quantities slow or prevent the oxidation process. This means they can help prevent or correct damage to cells. They can also reduce your risk of cancer or infections and improve the functioning of your immune system. In addition to cranberry juice, dried cranberries contain antioxidants than most fruits. Grape juice is also a good source (but not as good as cranberry juice).

Wow, I find it really interesting. From this site, it seems that its really good for drinking up to three drinks per day. I always thought that everything has helped prevent urinary tract infections, not completely excluded.

If you are willing to ingest cranberries for urinary problems, I would say to give up the juice, and go buy pills and cranberry concentrate. Unlike fruit juice, which is laden with sugar and other additives, pills are a concentrated form, and give you more oomf any amount of juice. I had urinary tract infections problematic for most of my life, and the pills are the best thing I found to keep them under control. In addition, if you meet a lot of antibiotics in your system does hey're most likely kill the good bacteria in the urethra, and not only bad bacteria. If you still have pain, you can take some acidophilus tablets, or via live culture yogurt and see if that helps any.
