Beer HydrometerHELP! Is it necessary to use a thermometer and a hygrometer when brewing beer?

I just bought my first homebrew kit that apparently contained everything needed to start brewing. However, on reading the instructions it seems I need a thermometer to check the temperature kept on, and also a hygrometer "(which I do not really know what it is?). Is essesntial? Do I really need to keep such a strict control of temperature, and whatever the hydrometer do? and do I need to buy hot beer "(something other than the company recommends for homebrew his instructions?) to keep the right temp? What I saved, thinking that everything I need and now it seems I'm only halfway there? "Please let I know what you think! desperate to start!

You certainly need a thermometer.

You do not "need" a hydrometer, unless you want to know the alcohol content of your beer.
Hydrometer measures the specific gravity of the liquid. You can use it to determine the alcohol content of your beer.
It also helps when you try to determine when the beer is fermented (if you follow a recipe closely)
Usually, when bubbles coming out of the airlock are more or less, 1 minute is in pieces when I consider it a fait accompli.
You do not need, but you could possibly want to buy one.

Everything you need to make beer - other than the ingredients are:
- W stainless steel pot / lid (5 gallons should work)
- Thermometer
Hop bag -
bag of grain -
- Funnel with a small screen (to filter solids)
- Fermenter (large enough to hold your lot)
air pocket -
- Siphon, racking cane, a sort of siphon starter (Do not try to start the siphon with the mouth)
You will also need cleaning supplies:
- A kind of disinfectant (I use OneStep iodopher but is very good)
bottle brushes -
You should have all that if you bought a good kit

Depending on whether you go to the bottle or keg your beer, you'll need:
* For bottle *
- Bottles (duh:])
bottle caps -
bottle capper -
- And a bottling wand
--- Bottling sugar (and)
* * For Keg
- Barrel Cornelius
- CO2 Tank
- Cruise
- Liquid and gas lines and connectors
- Distributor
- And of course a fridge

If I were you, I bottle for the first time. Kegging supplies you need to probably do not. Most kits come with the bottling equipment.


He should have come with yeast. If it is liquid yeast, it would have remained at high temperature. then there would have been something to keep it cold, and it would be in a bottle of some sort. If it came with dry yeast, so you would be looking for a package of powder. If you have not found then the chances are that the kit does not come with yeast. In this case, you'll need to buy yeast, either online or in a local store homebrew.
If you have a homebrew shop in your area, go ahead and tell them what kind of beer you made. The person who works there must be able to recommend baking for you.
If buying online, then the yeast you use depends on what you do.
ale yeast and lager yeast are different, to buy accordingly.
There are also different strains of yeast that contribute different flavors to the final outcome of your beer.
You want the yeast (not baker's yeast).
