Regarding candle go Pier 1 candles and diffusers are the best! The candles give off a fragrance, even when they do not burn.

I use Glade candles (short, they last longer) put them in a field that has a bit of a project and your entire house will smell good. And if a sweet is not for you are a candle GLADE anti-tobacco

My advice is to clean the entire room from top to bottom first, then worry about the candle!
