Some soft cheeses go well with beer that tastes slightly fruity, such as raspberries or strawberries.

There are also beers to go with just about any type of dessert. Ales are often much older with nutty sweet breads. If you have a very sweet dessert like cheesecake, you can try to find something with a spicy taste. You can not beat a dark beer, how it tastes like chocolate, and often a fruit pie could do with a fruit beer or ale.
