Beer + Chicken = Delima? I have a whole chicken that I need to cook while it is still good and I also have a lot of beer in the fridge. I know that you can make beer can chicken, both in the oven and on the grid, but I do not have a grill because I live in an apartment complex, so I have to go to court to barbecue, and it's no hassle, and beer bottles.
So, what can I do with chicken and beer in the oven? I also plan to cook the carrots, potatoes, side dishes usual chicken.

In a dish of chicken browns.
Add onions to skillet and cook until tender, about 4 to 5 minutes. Drain excess fat. Sprinkle flour, marjoram, pepper, thyme, salt, sugar and garlic. Stir in beer. Cook over medium-high heat, stirring constantly, until thickened and bubbly. Stir in vinegar. Add the chicken back in pan. Sprinkle with bacon. If necessary, transfer to a large baking dish. Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 55 to 65 minutes, or until chicken is tender. 6 to 8.
Beer Chicken
While it's cooking time of one hour, it's fast to prepare and you can almost be left alone during cooking.
Serves 4
1 chicken (whole chicken works best, but you can use chicken pieces, if you prefer, for example. Thighs or drumsticks)
1 carrot, finely chopped
1 onion, finely chopped
1 leek, trimmed and finely chopped
1 stalk celery, finely chopped
1 liter of beer (lager)
salt and pepper
Season the chicken cavity with salt and pepper and place in a large saucepan.
Add vegetables and pour in the beer (or pour the beer slowly sparkles and makes a mess of cooking). The beer will almost cover the chicken.
Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for about an hour until the beer has almost completely evaporated (it will not all evaporate if you use chicken, so do not worry) . The chicken should be tender and cooked through.
And for beer can chicken be cooked in the oven, I found this:
