Barolo Wine

My husbond and I can not agree on Barolowine. Is this a name of a region in Italy or is it a brand like champagne? Could you make Barolo in other countries?

Barolo is a wine traditionally produced in the Piedmont - which is where I come from. It is made from Nebbiolo grapes, and produced in a very specific area (Langhe). It is DOC (appellation d'origine contraŽlede), so we can make Barolo out of there.
