What steps are involved in a drug intervention alcohol intervention / An intervention is not an event - is a process. Done correctly, a drug intervention or alcohol intervention is carefully planned and executed to maximize its effectiveness. At Dallas intervention , we follow the widely accepted "Johnson" intervention model developed by Vernon E. Johnson. Johnson's model is based on the idea that the intervention approach is most effective to bring parents and concerned friends of the alcoholic / addict and it shows the reality of a compassionate manner and receive.
In preparation for an operation, each client intervention should at least expect a first assessment of the need for intervention and the effects of alcohol or drugs has on all parties, a meeting planning in which the offer intereventionist education regarding chemical dependency, a discussion of intervention protocols, and tips for preparing letters of intervention, a repeat of the intervention process and a meeting of post-intervention. In all cases, the intervention should help the client to identify and select appropriate treatment options for the alcoholic or drug addict.
How do I know if my beloved is an alcoholic or drug addict? Although we recommend professional assistance to determine whether or not someone is a chemical dependency, the following questions may help you decide if further evaluation is needed:
- Have you ever tried to control the amount or frequency that you drink / use and failed?
- You find yourself unable to stop drinking / using even if it is causing negative consequences?

- Do you drink / use the morning, before or during labor, or other inappropriate times or in other inappropriate places?

- Do you feel desperation or uneasiness when you can not drink or use?
- Do you lose the account number of drinks you had, or will have taken the pills?
- Do you drink / use, regardless of the consequences?
- Have you ever threatened your financial stability or standing in the community by your drinking / using?
- Have you ever had a serious relationship threatened or destroyed because of the consumption / use?
- Do you think life would be miserable without drinking / using?
- You find yourself drinking / using without a will?
- Does your drinking / using affected your reputation?
- Do you drink / use to try to treat or avoid the problems of life?
- If you are unable to concentrate on other areas of your life because of a concern for drinking / using?
- You spend a lot of time looking for your drink / drugs?
- You find yourself obsessed with drinking / using?
